Pastor Jackie Greene is the lead pastor and founder of G.A.P. Ministries in Clymer, Pennsylvania. She felt called to be a minister later in life - while working full time, she spent eight years attending Flame classes to receive her education and training to become a pastor (Flame is a part of Kingswood Extended/Kingswood University). She was initially commissioned in the Wesleyan Denomination and was more recently ordained by Elim Fellowship after transferring her credentials in 2019.
Jackie has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). She was employed for 20 years as the administrative assistant to the vice president of University Advancement. She retired from IUP in 2018 to pursue her calling as directed by the Lord. Before her time at IUP, she worked in accounting for many other corporations in Indiana, including: S&T Bank, R&P Coal Co. and Lockard Oil.
Her ministry work has involved serving as Director of Women’s Ministry and Outreach Pastor in a local church. She served in the Wesleyan Western PA District as the Women’s Director and on various teams including Church Missional Multiplication, where she was instrumental in assisting to plant churches and served as the Assistant Pastor of a church plant in Penn Hills, PA. Pastor Jackie also held a position at the Wesleyan Headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, for the denomination as field staff within the women’s movement.
God led Jackie to start a new ministry in Indiana County known as G.A.P. Ministries (God Answers Prayer), based on Ezekiel 22:30. Through this ministry she started the first Celebrate Recovery group in Indiana, PA where her efforts also extend to the county jail and SCI Pine Grove. Previously, The G.A.P. Ministries was a recognized organization on the IUP campus, which provided open doors to minister to students. She also served on the Interfaith Council as a campus minister while at IUP.
After running a Celebrate Recovery affiliated ministry for several years, God led Jackie and Jim to transition to their own ministry model to serve their Indiana County community through a recovery program called "Celebrate Life". Jackie's other efforts are ministering out of John 10:10 to the hurting and broken through offering Encounter weekends, seminars, and talks for women, and being available for speaking engagements (including filling the pulpit at churches).
She assisted her daughter Courtney in establishing a Christian Art & Play Studio (Tiny Disciples) in Clymer, Pennsylvania. She also has a heart for her local town, Marion Center, where she is proud to serve as the Chaplin for the Firemen’s Association.
Of all of her accomplishments, she is most proud of her 30+ year marriage to her husband Jim Greene, who serves alongside her in the ministry, and her two grown daughters and their husbands who all serve the Lord in multiple ways. She has also been blessed with three precious grandchildren.
God has whispered to her heart, “Who will tell the people who won’t walk through a church door about me?” Her passion is to fulfill that call.
