For my husband and I, deer are a sign of peace. I have so many amazing stories of when we were in a place of needing to make a decision or start moving in a certain direction, and we saw deer. I believe this is a way that God often confirms for us.
Just this morning as I sat down at my dining room table, to do some intensive work on an upcoming Encounter weekend (that I am offering through our G.A.P. Ministries), I saw three deer. It was only for a fleeting moment. Being the first day of June, the trees are fully covered with their wonderful greens leaves, so visibility in the woods is limited. I looked through my window, and there was a ray of sunshine at the edge of the woods. I only saw their ears and the top of their heads. As the three deer moved through that little opening- with that very bright beam of sun, I knew that God was granting me peace as I was preparing to work on this new initiative that He has given me to do.
John 14:27 ESV
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Psalm 37:5-6 ESV
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.
